Mini dress/camisole made in cream-pink silk tulle, overlaid with a black silk tulle veil, dating to around 1900/1910, shorter in length and embroidered at the bottom. The veil’s bottom hem is lined with a vintage lace.
A medallion-type applique, dating to around 1920, featuring beads and sequins hangs at the front from the centre of the neckline. Fixed using three press studs, it is removable so that it may be protected and to facilitate the garment’s cleaning.
The shoulder straps and the tie around the neck (closed at the back by a button) are in black cotton tulle piping, the stitching of which is deliberately visible.
